Today – 30th June – is the 3rd anniversary of the opening of Granton Goes Greener.
The launch event was held on 30th June 20218 and the project was officially opened by our MP Deidre Brock.
Since then volunteers and visitors have save an amazing 9.1 TONNES of clothing and over A TONNE of bread from landfill, with 8.6 TONNES of clothing being re-used, re-loved and re-worn.
The project also saw some major improvements in the church buildings – with new windows, insulation and lighting.
And the work continues – we are always on the lookout for volunteers – just follow this link to find out more. Or pop in to use the Share ‘n’ Wear service currently open on Fridays from 11.30am – 1pm.
